Position Summary
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Maintenance Supervisor serve as an integral contributor to further company growth and development and is responsible for managing and maintaining equipment, infrastructure, buildings, and grounds, including supervising a team of maintenance technicians, developing, and executing a maintenance strategy that promotes efficient optimal operations.
Position Responsibilities

Maintain safe and healthy work by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures while
complying with OSHA and other governmental regulations
Work with operations team to drive quality initiatives and promote process improvement.
Participate in and lead teams in conducting root cause analysis and developing corrective actions.
Committed to successful implementation of performance excellence initiatives.
Implement plan of action to ensure transition to a successful and sustainable predictive maintenance model
Maintain WO & PM records to ensure compliance with third party audit requirements.
Mange storeroom and critical spares parts inventory to ensure reliability, as well as managing related cost.
Responsible for ensuring accurate execution of scheduled maintenance work as planned.
Supervises the day-to-day activities of maintenance mechanics and specialists.
Mentor employees in the areas of job performance, attendance, safety and other related appraisal criteria.
Monitor work accomplished for quality, safe work practices, and GMPs against accepted department and
company standards.
Support and comply with all food safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
Optimize and update preventative maintenance plans and strategies when appropriate.
Assist with Project management with line extensions or new builds.
Maintains accurate records of maintenance work performed and inventory.
Recruit, manage, train, develop and support/coach a team of technicians.
Promote a productive, quality of work/life environment.
Implement opportunities to further develop and expand technician skills/knowledge.
Provide and document training.
Provide hands-on support as required.
Tactically implement company safety strategies, safe work practices/programs for food safety, process safety,
environmental safety, and personnel safety.
Attend daily shift huddle meetings with team discussing safety, food safety, quality, and production needs and
or misses from previous day.
Attend and successfully complete the Forklift Operator’s Course prior to operating any type of Forklift on API
property.
Sanitation Schedule and Preventive Control Rules Work closely with maintenance personnel to assure that machinery and equipment are in compliance with all sanitary and Safe Food operating conditions.
Ensure compliance with appropriate safety practices and procedures and with applicable Federal, State and
local codes, regulations and requirements.
Perform skilled maintenance and repair on mechanical and electrical equipment to include testing and replace
circuits, troubleshoot and correct defective switches, receptacles, and other routine maintenance.
Maintenance Supervisor Job Description
Ensure all Lock Out Tag Out, Confined Space, Working at Heights, Hot Work Permits and At-Risk activity policies are strictly followed, and inspect equipment to verify operations are safe to resume.
Ensure all required permits, work orders, and required documentation is completely accurate.
Execute the preventive maintenance (PM) program, emergency repairs, and make suggestions as needed.
Ensure API Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) guidelines are followed.
Ensure all API Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) are followed.
Ensure Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) for food safety are followed.
Understand and follow API safety policies, work safely and report any safety hazards or unsafe conditions to the Plant Manager, your Immediate Supervisor, or Safety Coordinator.
Demonstrate good communication skills and an ability to work as part of a team.
Successfully complete all required monthly API training modules within the allotted time periods.

Ability to multi-task
Lift 50 lbs. several times per shift to shoulder level

Ability to be a team player and work alone, self-directed, or with no supervision
Climb stairs and ladders and work on elevated platforms
Work with processes and procedures conducive to ensure a high level of inventory accuracy
Perform daily, weekly, monthly and bi-annual Sanitation events
Assist other maintenance employees when requested/required
